Halloween shenanigans

We all want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who came out for our first annual ride along! It was everything we hoped for and more. It was awesome to get to hang out with all of you outside of work, you are all super cool people. One thing that surprised us the most was all the skill that was there. It was AMAZING. We all learned so much from each other and we can't wait to learn some more. Beside all that, It was so cool to see how many of you were riding with our pink wheels. It's awesome to see all the support you have for the community and for breast cancer awareness. We are super stoked for the next ride along and we hope to see everyone there. Don't be afraid to bring your friends!

As we all know, Halloween is coming up this weekend and here at Wilderness Boards we want to do something spectacular. We were thinking of having a raffle and a costume contest. For the costume contest we were thinking of having it take place at the shop on the 31st. The judges will be the staff and we are offering a $200 in store credit for 1st place, $100 in store credit for 2nd place, and $50 in store credit for 3rd place. We can't wait to see what you guys got. For the raffle we decided to raffle off a brand new Original Apex 37 longboard (the picture below). Tickets will be sold all week long at $1 a ticket. The winner will be announced on the 31st as well. We will also have a bucket full of candy at the desk so if you are ever craving any chocolates, feel free to stop by.

Ride with our team!

Have you ever wanted to travel to a spot with awesome long boarding hills but have no idea or how to get there? This week our team of riders came up with an awesome idea. We feel its necessary for every long boarder to have the option and ability to hit every hill that is safe around the area. Being in the area for a few years, we were able to find some great locations within this local community. Starting next week we will be hosting the first annual Wilderness ride along.

The ride alongs will be held Thursday nights. We will plan to leave around 8:30 to the hills (you will find out which hills, we are keeping it a secret). This will be a great opportunity for us as a team to get to know our customer base a little bit more. Nothing beats riding around with new and old friends. Since this is our first time doing this we will be having an annual ride along sale with all purchases 20% off. This is perfect because Christmas is right around the corner and supplies won't last since it's getting down to the end of the season.

We hope you all can make it and show your support. We will also be serving food and drinks before to make sure everyone is fueled up and ready to go. We hope to see you there!

Everything's better in pink

As we all know, this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This month is a very special month for all of us. The reason being, many of our employees have cancer history in their life. Some good, some bad, but its safe to say it has all effected our lives. As a team, we were deciding on what we could come up with to support such a great cause. A lot of time was spend debating but we finally came to a conclusion. We are happy to announce our brand new pink wheels!

The best part about the wheels is that they are designed to fit your cruising needs and sliding needs as well. They are definitely on the softer side so they are great for gripping while carving down the hill. They come in sizes of three inches and four inches to fit any size board. To show our support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds collected to cancer research. This is a great way for both you and us to give back, and show support to a great cause. Plan on seeing these on the shelf tomorrow and we look forward to seeing the pink hit the streets. Did you say KBS?

We are beyond stoked to announce our latest collaboration! If you haven't heard of them yet, it's okay because you are about to find out. The name is Kearns Board Company or KBS for short. They produce a number of different boards for snowboarding, long boarding, wake boarding and surfing. With the help from their team, we designing a new line of longboards. The boards we are working on are designed with an influence from surfing. I don't want to give away too many details but they are going to be as if you where actually surfing down the street. They will come stock with thicker wheels to help with a smoother and longer ride.

We are also working on smaller sized longboards with a wakeboard style twist. They are great for tricks and downhill sliding. They are lighter then your normal cruiser but still handle great. They come stock with thinner wheels to enhance sliding mobility.
